Mark up a drawing
Put a question or observation directly on the drawing page.
Saved marks stay with their drawing revision, where your team and share recipients can discuss them.
Placing and editing
- Open the drawing and navigate to the page.
- Choose an image, pin, arrow, text callout, pen, highlighter, rectangle, polygon, or markup cloud.
- Place your mark and add a useful label or explanation.
- Choose Save where shown. Pen and highlighter strokes save when you finish the stroke.
Select a saved mark and choose Edit markup to change its position, shape, text, or style. A new mark needs no classification.
If saving fails, retry before changing pages so you keep your draft. If another person changed the same mark, refresh before continuing.
Images on the canvas
Choose Image to attach a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl/Cmd+V while working on the canvas. Images can be up to 15 MB and 16 million pixels. Pasting into a comment or text field keeps its usual behavior.
Drag the image to position it. Corner handles resize it proportionately, side handles stretch its width or height, and the handle above the image rotates it. Customize provides width, height, rotation, and opacity controls, with an option to keep proportions.
Choose Save to attach a new image. Upload failures preserve the draft for another attempt. Saved-image drags save when released. Undo and redo reverse each completed move, rotation, or resize, including changes to an image you have not saved yet. Numeric customization changes can also be undone individually before saving.
Select a saved image and use Copy image or Ctrl/Cmd+C, then paste it onto another page. Duplicate image also creates a copy without requiring system clipboard access. Copying and pasting between Breeks pages preserves the image's rotation, proportions, and opacity.
Image marks appear in drawing previews and editable PDF exports. Share recipients can add images wherever their link permits markup and can edit only their own marks. A page-only link exposes only images used on that page.
Referring to a mark
Each mark has a reference such as #MARK-0042. Choose Reference this mark to insert it into your comment, or type the reference in a document, record, or task comment.
Related comments opens the main Comments panel filtered to that mark. You can also link the marked region to an RFI, keeping the question and its location together.
Mark history
Use undo and redo while working on the revision: Ctrl/Cmd+Z and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z. History resets when you leave the document or change revision.
A mark linked to a record or task must be unlinked before deletion. Share recipients can edit only their own marks.
Editable PDF export
Export the full drawing or the current page with saved markup. A page-only share exports only that page.
Exported PDF marks remain editable in compatible PDF tools. Changes made to the downloaded copy do not sync back to Breeks.
