Share drawings and records

Invite feedback on a specific item without adding someone to the project.

Share links let a consultant, subcontractor, or client view a drawing or record and contribute at the access level you choose. Their comments and marks appear in Breeks.

  1. Open the drawing or record and choose Share.
  2. Choose the audience and access level.
  3. For a drawing, choose the entire drawing or just the current page.
  4. Set the expiry, create the link, and send it to the recipient.

Creating a link does not send it automatically.

Who can open it

  • Unverified users (no sign-in) lets recipients contribute after entering a name.
  • Registered users (sign-in required) requires an active Breeks account.

Neither option makes the recipient a project member. A link grants access to the shared item.

What they can do

Access levelRecipient can
Read-onlyView the item and comments; export available drawing markup
Comment + markupAlso comment and add drawing marks
EditAlso change the item's editable details

Recipients can edit only their own marks.

How much of the drawing

The entire drawing shares all pages of that revision.

This page only shares one prepared page, its markup, and page-specific comments. Recipients cannot open the rest of the drawing, and PDF export includes only that page.

Drawing links stay on the exact revision shared. A superseded revision becomes read-only.

Expiry and revocation

Links expire after seven days by default; one and thirty days are also available. You can change an active link's audience, access, or page scope, or revoke it when it is no longer needed.

What comes back

Replies and saved markup stay with the shared item, giving the team a record of the feedback. On a page-only link, discussion stays within that page.
