Set up a project

Bring your team, files, and project information into one place.

A project keeps its documents, records, tasks, and AI context together. Projects belong to an organization; you can belong to more than one organization.

Creating a project

  1. Choose the organization you want to work in, then create a project.
  2. Enter its name and the relevant project details.
  3. Choose a template or Blank. A template supplies document and record types; review the optional types before creating the project.
  4. Add your team, then start uploading files.

Your first drawing upload creates a private Default project with drawing and RFI types. You can start there before setting up a wider team project.

Members, companies and roles

Add members from project settings and choose their company and role. Their access determines what they can view and change. Give ongoing team members project access; use share links when someone only needs a specific drawing or record.

For WhatsApp, an administrator must link each member's identity before Breeks can act on their requests.

Adapt the project to your work

Use Project settings → Document types to add file categories and Record types to add structured information types and custom fields.

For example, add a Site reports document category and a Defect record type with an observation date and category. See documents and records.

Project lifecycle

Archiving makes a project read-only and stops its active coordination. Its documents, records, and comments are retained. Authorized managers can restore it.

Only an organization owner can delete an already archived project, after reviewing the impact and confirming its name. The Default project cannot be archived or deleted.
